I was wondering: If it's possible to patch and modify the data files for MKAK, then do you think you could possibly dump the data from it and make it usable in MAME? "I know how to patch the mame rom files, it's straight forward, but not sure how to go about patching the umk3image.bin in the arcade kollection." It also looks much better running through Mame (recommended! Unless you want to battle online players via Games for Windows Live of course) and applying your own custom settings (you can copy and/or rename the roms to their appropriate names (mk1image.bin to mk.bin mk2image.bin to mk2.bin and umk3image.bin to umk3.bin)) and the sounds will be authentic." "You can buy Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection if you don't mind emulation but it definitely is not a port. We all know that MAME's the better way to play MK Arcade on PC, BUT, I came across two threads on different forums where people talked about modifying the data inside MKAK as if there were ROMs encrypted inside it. I've got Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection on PC via Steam.
